The Counter-Strike 2 BLAST Austin Major is coming up and with it comes a brand new qualification system. Valve have removed the Regional Major Ranking tournaments, which were typically held on LAN, and replaced them with Major Regional Qualification tournaments which will be held online. MRQs
The Major Regional Qualifiers will be held from April 14th-17th online. The European regional qualifier will feature 16 teams and a Swiss bracket, while North America and South America will play with 8 teams in a double-elimination format. Asia-Pacific is split into a number of sub-regions each giving one place at the Major, due to ping differences being too great to include the whole region.
